Our Theory of Change
Six key steps that guide how OLE Ghana develops its learning model — from establishing a centre of excellence to achieving measurable outcomes in student learning.
How We Drive Change
OLE Ghana follows a structured, evidence-based approach to improving literacy and learning outcomes in primary schools. Each step builds on the last, creating an iterative cycle that refines and strengthens the model over time.
- Developing a Centre for Excellence A dedicated hub where best practices in teaching and learning are modelled, tested, and refined before wider rollout.
- Building Community Partnerships Engaging local communities, school leadership, and families to create a supportive environment for educational change.
- Teacher Coaching & Support Providing ongoing pedagogy coaching to equip teachers with effective strategies for literacy instruction and classroom management.
- Iterative Cycles of Change Testing interventions in real classroom settings, gathering feedback, and continuously improving the approach based on what works.
- Scaling Across Schools Expanding proven methods from pilot schools to additional sites — as seen in the transition from Phase One to Phase Two of the Ghana Reads programme.
- Measurable Student Outcomes Tracking progress in reading, writing, and comprehension to ensure the model delivers tangible improvements in student learning.
