To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Open Learning Exchange (OLE) Nepal hosted an international conference on “Shaping the Future of Learning” from November 8-10, 2017.

The conference brought together groups and organizations from different countries who have employed technology to improve education quality and to increase access to better learning opportunities to children from disadvantaged communities.

Open Learning Exchange Ghana was represented by its Executive director of Open Learning Exchange Ghana in the person of Mr. Kofi Essien.

At the conference Mr. Kofi Essien informed the delegates that, OLE Ghana has reached 87 public schools, touched the lives of some 60,000 plus pupils, supported over a 1000 plus teachers in 8 out of the 10 regions in Ghana. He highlighted some OLE Ghana projects (Ghana Reads, TEST, OLE-MLLab) and shared what was being done to ensure its scaling and sustainability. He reiterated OLE Ghana’s mantra of learning should be fun, and reading is the gateway to all learning.
